ABOUT THE COURSE:

For highly experienced Refrigeration engineers with previous formal qualifications in RAC at Level 2 or above.

What’s included in the assessment?

Fabrication of pipe piece, on line examination and practical assessment

This is an assessment only, you will need to be knowledgeable and skilled in all of the following:-

Topics: –

Basic working principles of the system
F Gas Regulations
Do’s and Don’ts
Refrigerants including blends
Refrigerant hazards
Environment impact
Pressure testing
Charging Systems
Evacuation and dehydration
Leak checking
Refrigerant recovery and disposal
Pipework jointing and brazing
Correct use of gauges
Performance testing

NB: Being able to performance test a refrigeration system using rule of thumb, refrigerant condition (superheat & sub cooling) with comparator and gauges is essential.

DOES THE F GAS QUALIFICATION EXPIRE?
No, as we offer the City and Guilds 2079 there is no expiry date on the qualification so it does not have to be renewed.

DO I ONLY HAVE TO GET ONE ENGINEER QUALIFIED WITH THE COMPANY?
No all of the engineers who are working with refrigerants will need to have the qualification i.e. certified engineers working for certified companies.

I DO NOT HAVE A FORMAL QUALIFICATION BUT I HAVE BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY FOR 15 YEARS WHAT COURSE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?
We would recommend attending the 5 day course as you will need to cover the theory behind the systems.

HOW MUCH TRAINING DO YOU GET ON THIS COURSE?
During this course there is NO training, it is Assessment only.
